Results of Justification

1 aTherefore, having been justified by faith,

Or let us exult
we exult in hope of the glory of God.
3 gAnd not only this, but
Or let us also exult
we also iexult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about jperseverance;
4and kperseverance, lproven character; and proven character, hope; 5and hope mdoes not disappoint, because the love of God has been npoured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

6For while we were still ohelpless, pat the right time qChrist died for the ungodly. 7For one will hardly die for a righteous man;

12Therefore, just as through aeone man sin entered into the world, and afdeath through sin, and agso death spread to all men, because all sinned 13for

15But
Lit not as the transgression, so also is the free gift
the free gift is not like the transgression. For if by the transgression of anthe one aothe many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by apthe grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many.
16The gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned; for on the one hand aqthe judgment arose from one transgression
Lit to condemnation
resulting in condemnation, but on the other hand the free gift arose from many transgressions
Lit to an act of righteousness
resulting in justification.
17For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned atthrough the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will aureign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.

18So then as through avone transgression
Lit to condemnation
there resulted condemnation to all men, even so through one axact of righteousness
Lit to justification
there resulted azjustification of life to all men.
19For as through the one man’s disobedience bathe many bbwere made sinners, even so through bcthe obedience of the One bdthe many will be made righteous. 20
Or law
,
bfThe Law came in so that the transgression would increase; but where sin increased, bggrace abounded all the more,
21so that, as bhsin reigned in death, even so bigrace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
